Who is the Controller of your personal data?
The controller of your personal data, i.e. the entity determining the purposes for which your personal data will be used, is EVENTION sp. z o. o. (hereinafter “Evention”) with its registered seat in Warsaw at Rondo ONZ 1., and the civil law partnership under the name of GetInData Adam Kawa, Piotr Krewski Spółka Cywilna, (hereinafter “GetInData”), acting jointly as the co-organisers of the BigData Technology Warsaw Summit 2019 conference and as the joint controllers of personal data on power of a separate agreement.
How to contact us to get more information on how your personal data are processed?
If you have any questions regarding your personal data we are processing, please send them to our e-mail address: *protected email*. This address is also the single point of contact defined in the abovementioned agreement.
What are the purpose and the legal basis for the processing of your personal data by the Controllers?
We may process your personal data, as it is necessary for:
- organising the BigData Technology Warsaw Summit 2019 conference
- allowing answers to be provided to your enquiries
- providing you with an electronic service, i.e. the newsletter service – contacting you and informing you about the events we are organising ourselves or in collaboration with other entities, including conferences or workshops, as well as about our products such as publications and reports;
- informing you about the events that we are helping our partners and clients to organise;
- for purposes of recruitment for work for GetInData.
We process your personal data for purposes indicated below on basis of legitimate interests of Evention and GetInData, being:
- handling your enquiries;
- conducting marketing activities with respect to you, including direct marketing of our own services or products;
- contacting you for the purposes related to marketing activities through the available communications channels, in particular, and with your consent – by e-mail and by telephone;
- investigation and defence from claims;
- conducting statistical analyses;
- data retention for archiving purposes and accountability (demonstration of our legal compliance).
If you grant Evention and GetInData your consent to personal data processing, you may withdraw it at any time in the same way you have granted it. We will be processing the data processed with consent until the consent is withdrawn.
Do you have to provide Evention and GetInData with your personal data?
The Company requires you to provide your personal data to be able to contact you and thus respond to your enquiries or provide you with the newsletter service. If for whatever reason you will not provide us with your personal data, regretfully we will not be able to contact you and consequently we will not be able to respond to your enquiries, inform you about matters of importance to the organisation of the conference and you will not be able to receive our newsletter and stay informed about our marketing activities and commercial offering.
If required by law, we may require you to provide other data necessary, for instance, due to accounting or taxation regulations. Providing your other data than the above is voluntary.
What are your rights with respect to Evention and GetInData concerning the processed data?
We allow you to exercise all your rights resulting from the General Data Protection Regulation, i.e. the right of access, to rectification and to erasure of your data, restriction of processing, right to data portability, to object an automated individual decision making, including profiling, as well as the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
You have the right to lodge a complaint concerning our processing of your personal data with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (address: Biuro Prezesa Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
In what situations you may object to the processing of your data?
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data when:
- your personal data are processed on basis of a legitimate interest or for statistical purposes, and the objection is based on grounds of your particular situation,
- your personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.
To whom do we disclose your personal data?
We disclose your personal data to the entities that support us in providing our services. If you give consent to the Company, we will be disclosing your data to our partners we are collaborating with, in particular, if you give consent to the disclosure of your data, your data will be disclosed to the Conference Partners (the General Partner, the Strategic Partner, the Subject Matter Partner, Patrons and Co-Organisers) for the purpose compliant with the content of the consent (the List of Partners is available on the Conference website in the “Organisations” tab ").
If this will be legally compliant we may disclose your data to the public anti-fraud authorities.
How long do Evention and GetInData retain your personal data?
The Company retains your personal data for marketing purposes as long as you are professionally active or until the moment you raise an objection against such processing, whichever comes first.
In the event of organising loyalty programmes or promotional campaigns you are eligible to participate in, we will be processing your data for their duration and for the time when claims may be pursued out of this title.
We are retaining your data for statistical and archiving purposes for 3 years.
For purposes of accountability, we will be retaining the data for the time the Company is required to retain data or documents that contain them for the purpose of documenting compliance with the legal obligations to allow compliance audits to be carried out by the public authorities.
To what countries outside the European Economic Area the Company transfers your data?
If you give the Company your consent, your data may be transferred outside the territory of the European Economic Area to our partners in the USA and Israel. We will not transfer your data outside the EEA without your consent.
Is the Company profiling your personal data or processing them in an automated way affecting your rights?
Personal data profiling is deemed to mean automated processing of your data that consists of their use for evaluation of certain factors that concern you, in particular for analysing or predicting the aspects concerning your performance at work, your economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or movements.
Your personal data will not be used for automated decision making, including no profiling will be performed on basis of the personal data received from you.
