David Morávek
Lead Software Engineer, Ververica
David is a Lead Software Engineer at Ververica and Apache Beam and Apache Flink committer. He has spent most of the last decade working on petabyte-scale data pipelines, messing with database internals and leading some amazing engineering teams. Currently, his main focus is with the distributed coordination layer of Apache Flink and bringing Apache Flink cloud native.
Aru Singh
Director of Data Science, Willa
Aru leads the data science team at Willa, a FinTech startup based in Stockholm that focuses on invoicing and payments for US-based freelancers." He holds undergrad degrees in Computer Science and Political Science from Grinnell College (USA), and attended graduate school in Economics at The Graduate Institute of International Studies (Switzerland). Prior to HiQ, he worked in the statistics/analytics and data science teams at the United Nations, Yahoo, Truecaller, Springworks and HiQ. Outside work, he enjoys reading about psychology/tech/politics, cricket, cooking, playing squash and running.

I have worked within analytics for the last 15 years and come from an old-school Kimball background. As the technology and methodologies have evolved so have I. I am constantly working hard to embrace new ways of maximizing long-term business value out of analytics.

Qi works close to Aru in the Analytics and Data Science team at Willa, a FinTech startup based in Stockholm that focuses on invoicing and payments for freelancers. He has work experience in different industries, such as logistics, customer services, gaming and fintech (now). Sci-fi movies, cooking & hiking in the forest are his favorite activities.
